      The first (good) review was on the new biography movie Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B. The review states that even though most people did not like the movie, it still was ranked as number two telepic of 2014. The movie received 3.2 million views. The second review was states that the Aaliyah movie was horrible. The characters didn't live up to the viewers expectations and the movie made false accusations. For example, Aaliyah wore sunglasses because she was shy to sing in front of a crowd. Although in the movie, R.Kelly was the reason she started wearing sunglasses because they made her look cute.
       One fact from the first review was that the movie was the most tweeted about tv event of the week. They also said it raised expectations for Lifetime's next musical. There were no opinions in this review. A fact from the second review was that Aaliyah had a tom-boyish style and the fact that she barely wore any make-up. Which is very true. A opinion was that the movie was a "..gruesome trainwreck".
         I agree with the first review because even though not people liked it, Lifetime still got really good ratings. Which is why it was number two telepic of 2014. I also agree with the second review because the characters did not in fact look like the actual people. The creators could've at least choose more realistic characters. Also the actor in the movie was too made up to be Aaliyah. She did resemble her, but they made her something that she was not.

1.The topic of the editorial is thirty reasons why people hate Obama and things that he did to make people hate him.

2. The topic,"30 Reasons to Hate Obama", represents why people hate Obama and his actions. The cartoon represents how nobody will give the kid candy because he dressed up as Obama for Halloween.

3. The editorial and cartoon are alike because they both have something to do with people not liking Obama. They are different because the picture doesn't explain why people hate Obama, the editorial does.

4. The editorial is more effective because it has more information on why people hate him so much.

5. The benefits of making cartoon is that you get to show creativity. A editorial you can express your feeling through text. A drawback with a cartoon is that you can only draw so much.

Taylor Swift Takeover

Taylor Swift's new hit single "shake it off" has been blowing up the charts since last summer. According to Billboard, Swift's song spent two weeks as number one on billboard. The song was first heard at the VMA's on August 24, 2014. Swift performed the song and had an amazing performance. Later on her song started to spread quickly on t.v. From Good Morning America to a 1980's aerobic video routine, Swift is on the come up.
              Many people are in love with Swift's new style of music. Most people say her song "shake it off" relates to them in some type of way. Serena Boulware said "..the song relates to me because I've dealed with players, so I know how she feels." Therefore Swift encourages people to shake off bad relationships/people.
              Swift has not only started a motto, but a movement for people around to let things go. She does this by telling everyone to shake off the haters and be yourself. Which is the best advice you can give someone today.

Family Vacay

- After being tired and so sleepy,Daisha took a picture of Miami, Fl. Being in a car for eight hours, it was pretty beautiful.

- Once her family got settled, they decided to go to the beach for a couple of hours.

- As you can see, her and aunt asked a waitress to take a picture before they leave.

- While down there, they decided to walk the strip. Along the way seen a store called Wings. Along the way they saw these crazy flip flops.

- A couple days later, Samir, had his championship game while the sun was setting.

-As you can see, his team went home with a victory after a hard, crucial game. Later on they had the awards ceremony.

-The day after, Daisha and her family went to the mall only for thirty minutes. Meanwhile, Samir and Daisha ventured off and took a picture in the Adidas outlet.

Blog #4

  One interesting thing that happened this summer was the BET Awards. Many of artists performed at this gathering such as T.I, Pharrell, Lil Wayne, etc. The show came on at eight o'clock and he ended around eleven o'clock as usual. Also plenty of  artsits we may know we're nominated for categories like best video, best male artist, and best female artsits. Drake won for the best male artist and was of Nicki Minaj. Last but not least the Lifettime Achievement Award went Lionel Richie.

     Another interesting that happened this summer was that Justin Beieber went to jail for a DUI charge. He supposedly could have been getting up to two years for it. He denied a plea deal that said he wouldn't do any reckles driving in Miami,Fl. Also that they would random drug test him for nine months. As soon as Bieber heard that he was out. Him and his attorney soon went to court because they didn't Want the deal they were offered. Although there were complications because Justin Bieber wAs smoking marijuana and also drag racing with a experienced license.

    This summer we had a new shopping mall to go to which is called the Premium Outlets. They are located in Charlotte,Nc. The mall opened July 31st and they are still making some improvements since my last visit. My last visit was August 16th. The outlets are set up just like the ones at the beach, outside. They have numerous of outlets such as Nike, Adidas, J.Crew, Micheal Kors, etc. In the fall they will have Charley's Grilled Subs and Taviani's in the food court. So if you like chinese food, go shop there because that's all the mall has. Also they have food places for all the sweet tooths out there such as Auntie Anne/Planet Smoothie and Great American Cookie Company.
